Portugal completed the contract of the quarter-finalists of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after sweeping Switzerland in the final price (6-1), on Tuesday evening at Lusail Stadium.


Portugal's Goncalo Ramos (17-51-67), Pepe (33), Rafael Guerrero (55) and Rafael Leao (92) scored the six-pointer, while Switzerland's only goal was scored by Manuel Akanji (58).


Portugal will therefore set up a quarter-final date with Morocco in the match to be played at Al Thumama Stadium on December 10th.


Portugal opened the scoring in the 18th minute from the first chance of the game, after Ramos received a pass inside the area from Vilques, to hit a powerful shot that found the back of the net.


Portugal woke up after the goal and almost added the second in the 22nd minute, by paving the ball from Ramos on the edge of the penalty area for Ottavio, to hit a powerful ball that Sumire caught.

In the third minute of stoppage time, Guerrero struck a shot from outside the area, which went wide of the goal to end the first half with Portugal leading by two goals without reply.


Ramos scored the third goal in the 51st minute, after Dalot sent a ground cross from the right side, which Ramos followed up with a direct shot that passed between the feet of Summer and found the net.


Portugal's goal festival continued with the addition of the fourth goal in the 55th minute, with a magical pass from Ramos to Guerrero inside the area to single out Soumir and shoot a powerful ball into the net.


Switzerland reduced the deficit in the 58th minute, with Akanji following up a cross from a corner kick on the far post, firing unattended into the net.


Ramos scored a hat-trick in the 67th minute, after receiving a magic pass from Felix to single out Soumir and hit a distinctive falling ball into the net.

Ronaldo tried after his descent to leave the mark, with a free kick in the 77th minute, hitting a direct ball that hit the wall.


In a rare attacking appearance for Switzerland, Embolo fired a scissor from the edge of the area, which flew past the post in the 80th minute.


Xhaka followed up with a cross from a corner, and a header in the 81st minute went over the crossbar.

Leao scored Portugal's sixth goal in the second minute of stoppage time, with a distinctive arcing shot from the left side of the penalty area that found the net, to end the match with Portugal's victory (6-1).
