Liverpool's hat-trick was scored by Mohamed Salah (5), Virgil van Dijk (37) and Stefan Batic (81), while Aston Villa's only goal was scored by Ollie Watkins (59).


With that result, Liverpool, who achieved their third consecutive victory in the Premier League, raised their tally to 25 points in sixth place, while Aston Villa's balance froze at 18 points in 12th place.


The first attempt of the game came for Aston Villa in the first minute, after Watkins received a through inside the area, firing a weak shot that Alisson caught.

Salah then received a pass on the right side of the penalty area in the 31st minute, firing a ground ball past the post.


Liverpool added the second goal in the 37th minute, after Salah paved the ball to Van Dijk inside the area, to shoot the Dutchman a direct ball into the net.


Liverpool got a foul in the second minute of stoppage time, carried out by Arnold sending a cross towards the unsupervised Nunez, who in turn shot a direct ball saved by Olsen, to end the first half with Liverpool leading by two goals without reply.


Aston Villa started the second half strongly, after Watkins' goal was ruled out for offside, McGinn, unsupervised inside the area, received a cross in the 48th minute, shooting a weak header that Alisson easily caught.


Buendia followed in the 49th minute, following up a ground cross inside the area, firing a powerful ball straight past the post.


Liverpool missed a chance to add the third goal, from a quick counterattack in the minute, through which Salah was launched by the center of the field, to single out Olsen and shoot a weak ground ball from inside the area, saved by the goalkeeper.

Aston Villa managed to reduce the difference in the 59th minute, after Watkins rose to cross, shooting a perfect header inhabited the net.


Liverpool almost killed the game in the 75th minute, after Salah sent a magic through to Nunez, who started from the center of the field and singled out Olsen, shooting a ground ball from inside the area, passed next to the post.


Liverpool fired a mercy shot at Aston Villa in the 81st minute, after Nunez sent a ground cross from the left side, Olsen turned away, and followed by substitute Bajic dribbling goalkeeper and Konsa, before shooting into the net.


Nunez then tried to write his name in the list of scorers, with a ground shot from the edge of the area in the 82nd minute, saved by Olsen, to end the match with a victory for Liverpool (3-1).
