Atletico topple Manchester United outside champions league
Atletico Madrid booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after beating hosts Manchester United 1-0 in the match at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening, in the second leg of the round of 16.
Atletico Madrid's only goal was scored by Renan Lodi in the 41st minute, with the Rokhiplancos qualifying for the quarter-finals with a 1-1 draw.

United tried to respond with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area in the second minute of stoppage time through Fernandez, countered by Oblak to end the first half with Atlético leading with an unanswered goal.
United started the second half strongly, with a ground shot from Elanga from the right side of the penalty area in the 46th minute, which went a little further alongside al-Qaim.
MaGuire missed the ball in the 52nd minute, and De Paul took it over the area and hit a powerful ball that De Gea grabbed.

In a rare attacking appearance for Atletico in the second half, Jimenez rose to a cross from a corner in the 63rd minute, scoring a header that went over the top of the crossbar.

Varane almost scored for United in the 77th minute, after rising to a display from a foul, hitting a powerful header that Oblak starred in the tackle, followed by Ronaldo with a scissor shot easily grabbed by the goalkeeper.
Dalot hit a ball from outside the box in the 83rd minute, passing just next to al-Qaim, ending the match with a 1-0 victory for Atlético and qualifying for the quarter-finals.
